British Values Qualifications

The government published the ‘Prevent’ strategy in 2011 as part of its overall counter-terrorism strategy. ‘Prevent’ duty guidance was put into place and as a result, all education and skills providers in England must have due regard to the need to ‘Prevent’ people from being drawn into terrorism. Part of this to ensure that learners have a good understanding of the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance for those with different faiths and beliefs.

• Highfield Entry Level Award in Fundamental British Values (Entry 3) (RQF)
